In this liberaly style of dance we can see a lot of different techniques like;
technique of Graham, Limón, Cunningham, Sullivan and others.

I´ve work a pair of them, and others more moderns like Contact improvisation and release technique.

In this dance genre they stand out Merce Cunningham, Isadora Duncan, Martha Graham, Ted Shawn, Ruth Saint Denis, among others.
They broke the rules of the strict forms of ballet. These dancers and/or choreographers all believed that dancers should have more freedom of movement, allowing their bodies to freely express their innermost feelings.

Contemporany dance serves to connect the mind and the body throught fluid dance movements. The term "contemporany" describes a genre that developed during the mid-20th century and is still very popular today.

Contemporany dancers focus on floorwork, using gravity to pull them down to the floor. This dance genre is often done in bare feet. Contemporany dance can be performed to many differnts of style music.
